The Annual General Meeting of Cupar and District Swimming Club was held on 21 November 2011. The agenda is
here.
Going forward there were several important decisions made:-
- As a result of Fife's swimming pool hire charge increases, all swimmers
fees will now be calculated on the basis of £1.35 per swim hour, plus a
proportion of the clubs overheads.
- We welcomed two new members to our Committee. These are Shirley
Steele and Alistair Baxter.
- Our previous long serving/suffering President, Eric Anderson, has
now handed the baton on to Jackie Smith-MacKay.
- We now have two new Vice Presidents. Kirsten McKiddie and Mike
Withers.
More details will be added soon!

Geordie Wotherspoon Gala Success - added
12.9.11
The Cupar Swimming Club Novice team put in a fantastic performance at the recent
Geordie Wotherspoon Gala at Glenrothes. Not only did they win 11 out of the 20
events, they came out overall winners of the Geordie Wotherspoon Trophy.
Fourteen swimmers achieved personal best times and everyone went home with
medals. Gold medal winners included Iona Halkett, Jimmy Brooks, Katie Ross,
Robert Withers, Leon Rann, Oliver Withers, Alexandrea Smith Mackay and Lewis
Baillie. The team also came first in three of the medley relays and third in the
other. The Club are delighted with their achievements and feel it is just reward
for all the hard work these young swimmers have put in over the last year. -
